End of the year Bulletin Board 2013

"We are falling for 2nd Grade!!"

I've had this idea since February and I have just been waiting patiently to use it!!! Our teenagers hosted a dinner at church for our senior members and our theme was "game night". We used some dominos for part of the decorations! I had made some domino placemats and decided I wanted to save them for school! (you never know where ideas will come from!) The 3-D dominos are macaroni and cheese boxes! I have thumb tacks glued to the bottom of them to make them stick out but I ended up hot gluing a few. On the dots of the big dominos, our students wrote, "I am excited about second grade because...." Love it!!!

Read Across America Bulletin Board

I love this board because it was all made by the kids! The little books are based on "Oh, the Places You'll Go". Since a lot of kids get this as a graduation present, we changed it to Oh, the Places I'll Go and the students wrote about what they want to be when they grow up! They did a really great job! For the big book, each student wrote about their favorite book! I have tried to display a different page each day!

Dr. Seuss

Each classroom in our hallway had the kids paint hot air balloons and they were all floating down the hall! Our Jr. Kindergarten teachers made us all some truffula trees for our doors! We turned the first graders into Thing 1 and Thing 2 and had them write about the Things coming to their house!

This one above was one of my favorites because he said he would ask them where they got their hair done! So funny!
