Today we finished our chapter and had a delicious snack of 3D shapes!
Bugles - cone
Marshmallows - cylinder
Cheese cubes - cube
Cheese balls - sphere

Shape art

Our first chapter in math is geometric shapes so I let the kids choose two shapes and use them to design a picture. These are a couple of samples! if you cant tell, the second one says, "This is a college graduation."! So creative!! Tomorrow we are eating geometric shapes!!

This is my desk/small group table! I put vinyl stickers for the kids to write on! The dry erase pencils work great on them! I love this!

My Sports classroom is complete!!

I am finally done with my classroom and I'm ready for Open House tomorrow!! I'm so excited to meet my new First Graders!! It's going to be a great year!!

Beginning of the year bulletin board

This is a very simple but fun bulletin board and of course it's 3D!! We are not quite finished, though! After the first day of school, we will add the students' pictures inside the bubbles!! We bought the two bubble wands at the Dollarmart and we ordered the plastic ornaments from Oriental Trading! I wish the ornaments were a little bigger, but I still love how it turned out!

Summer is over :( and :)

In less than nine hours, I will be heading back to school! Inservice starts tomorrow! I can't believe summer is over! It flew by but it goes by faster and faster as I get older and I just turned 40, so it's flying fast! I feel like my whole summer was spent changing classrooms and getting my new one ready! The good news is that I won't have to do near as much next summer! My room is about finished! A lot of my sports theme is the same, but I have changed a few things! I will start posting pictures in the next few days!  I hope everyone has a wonderful school year!!  I can't wait to meet my new students!!
